Holt Recruitment Group launches ‘Anything but an Ordinary 100 Miles’ charity challenge for Home-Start Wessex
Four Holt teams will be dropped at undisclosed locations and challenged to navigate their way on foot to a designated finish point in support of local families.
Bournemouth, September 18th – Holt Recruitment Group has announced the return of its annual charity endurance challenge, with teams from across the business preparing to take on Anything but an Ordinary 100 Miles in support of Home-Start Wessex.
The 2026 event will see four teams take on a wilderness-themed endurance challenge designed to test teamwork, navigation, resilience and determination.
On the day, each team will be dropped at a random, undisclosed location before being tasked with making their way on foot to a designated finish point.
The challenge forms part of Holt Recruitment Group’s ongoing commitment to raising funds and awareness for Home-Start Wessex, while bringing colleagues together to take on something firmly outside the ordinary working day.
The event name, Anything but an Ordinary 100 Miles, draws on Holt’s wider brand message and reflects the deliberately unconventional nature of this year’s challenge.
For the teams taking part, the event will involve far more than simply putting one foot in front of the other. Participants will need to work together, navigate unfamiliar surroundings and keep moving through what is expected to be a demanding day of endurance.
Holt Recruitment Group has a long-standing tradition of taking on ambitious annual charity challenges. Previous events have included climbing the equivalent height of Everest, completing a 24-hour boxing challenge, rowing the distance around the UK, cycling the equivalent of the Tour de France, and running 1.1 miles every hour for 24 hours.
This year, the focus remains firmly on Home-Start Wessex and the work it carries out to support parents and families through difficult and challenging periods. Holt Recruitment Group is aiming to raise £5,000 through this year’s challenge, with 40 colleagues expected to take part across the four teams.
Karen, Head of Holt Recruitment Group, said:
“We’re really proud to support Home-Start Wessex again this year. Their work makes a real difference to local families, and this challenge is a great way for our team to come together and raise money for such an important cause.”
The event is designed not only to raise funds, but also to increase awareness of the support Home-Start Wessex provides to families throughout the region.
The challenge will take place on September 18th with updates from the teams shared throughout the event.
