A Royal Moment: Meeting Princess Anne at the BQF UK Excellence Awards
Home-Start Wessex was honoured to attend the recent BQF UK Excellence Awards, where we had the privilege of meeting Her Royal Highness Princess Anne and sharing the impact of our work supporting families across Dorset.
Being recognised as one of only four finalists for the Patron’s Award for Charity Organisations was a proud and memorable achievement for our charity. The award celebrates organisations that make a meaningful difference in their communities, and to be shortlisted alongside other outstanding charities was a wonderful acknowledgement of the dedication, compassion and commitment that drives everything we do.
This recognition belongs to the incredible families we support, our dedicated volunteers, committed staff team and valued supporters. Every day, their efforts help us provide vital support to parents and children facing challenging circumstances, creating positive change that can last a lifetime.
Meeting Princess Anne and having the opportunity to discuss the work of Home-Start Wessex was a special moment and a reminder of the importance of community-led support for families. We were proud to represent Dorset and showcase the difference that early intervention and compassionate support can make.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supports Home-Start Wessex. Whether you volunteer, donate, fundraise or champion our work, your support makes achievements like this possible and helps us continue making a difference to local families when they need it most.
